  2. You may take a look at this step by step guide, it will teach you how to convert and burn movie to DVD. I followed it and successfully burned movie to DVD to play on my home DVD player, it's easy to understand, I think it deserves a try. http://www.mac-dvd.com/mac-guide/how-to-convert-video-to-dvd-on-mac.html Hope it helps, email me if you need further help or use http://www.ask.com to search for more answers.
  3. Backup DVD or Copy DVD I always use this DVD Copy software. It copies personal home video in the original quality. I download the software from: http://dvd-video-converters.com/dvdconverter/1click-dvd-copy.html Unbiased reviews and side-by-side comparisons of the DVD copy give you enough information to research the ins and outs of a particular product: http://www.topsreviews.com/reviews/dvd-copy-review.html Copy DVD on mac: http://www.macdvdconverter.com/mac-dvd-copy/mac-dvd-copy-iskysoft.html Also, you can search some other software: http://www.ask.com
  4. You can use wondershare to burn movies to dvds and make it play on dvd player, it can burn DVDs from a lot of video formats, including AVI, MP4, MPG, MPEG, 3GP, RM, RMVB, DAT, MOV, FLV, HD-videos, etc, it provides a series of features to make a highly customized DVD. like dvd menu, video transition effects, special video effects, customize logo, and other video editing features. http://www.dvdtopreviews.com/dvd-creator-review-mac/wondershare-dvd-creator-mac.html
  5. All Macs with internal SuperDrives come with iMovie and iDVD. Don't get confused about all these third-party applications others are suggesting that you download and hope will work. Your iMac has everything you need for editing movies, building DVDs with menus and chapters, and finally burning the DVDs. The only software you will need to install is Perian, link below. Perian provides the codecs to allow use of those odd-ball formats that Microsoft uses for movies, such as AVI, and for FLV files from Youtube. Open iMovie to import and edit movie files. If you have a DV camcorder connected, you should immediately get a blue screen and controls for importing the data from the tape. If you have one or more movie files on your hard drive that you want to use to build a movie, go to File > Import. After the movie clip is imported, drag the thumbnail to the bottom of the window, to the "Clip Viewer". Use iMovie Help for editing assistance-- add titles, music, etc. When you are done with the basic editing, click the iDVD" button at the far right. Add chapter markers, if you need them. When you're done, click the "Create iDVD PRoject" button. After a short delay, iDVD will opena nd you can finish making your DVD edits and menus. Then click the "Burn" button and iDVD will ask you to put a blank DVD in the drive.
