How can I copy DVDs onto my laptop so I can watch them on my iPod?
Hi there! I would love to put some of my favorite DVDs onto my laptop so I can view them on my iPod, but I have no idea how. I would like to do this without downloading any software from the internet. Thanks heaps!

- DVD's are copy - protected, meaning you can't just copy them to another format or device. You can convert them legally for your own use if you own them, but you will need software to do it. What software you need depends on what type of computer you are using (mac or PC)
- Unfortunately, you will have to download some software. Use Free DVD Decrypter to copy the DVD to your hard drive and then use Handbrake (0.9.2 if you can find it) to convert it to iPod format. Don't let other people tell you that there is a better way, because even though there is, the file it creates is poor quality and too large.

- iPod supports only mp4 and h.264 video, you just need to convert your movie to iPod compatible video, then make a playlist on iTunes, add the converted video to the playlist, plug in your iPod to computer, then sync your iPod with iTunes, done.
