How can I make the transition from anime to realistic people?
I have a backround of anime. But Im getting sick of it. I want a career of painting, and i want to be able to drawing realism. But I dont want to have too draw from sight. Plus I need to learn the ananotomy of people for fashion. So What Im saying is, how can i kick the cartoons and get more realism? Im pretty good at realism, but only when I see the person in front of me, or from a photograph.

- Here's a link on drawing people realistically (though I don't think it's that helpful): http://www.wikihow.com/Draw-Realistic-People The only tips I can give is to practice, practice, practice. Don't just look at photographs. Look at people in everyday life and observe their facial expressions, body language, etc. Try to capture that when you draw. Also, seeing that you have a background of anime, you can try working with a more "realistic" anime style to help you make the transition. For example, take a look at the artwork of Yoshitoshi ABe (http://images.google.com/images?q=%22Yoshitoshi+ABe%22+art&gbv=2&hl=en&sa=2). Good luck!
